Critical Ops – Rules & Regulations

Friends, the time has come to re-visit the ground rules for the Critical Ops Tournaments. It is important that all teams acknowledge and follow the rules in order for us to deliver a fair and fun tournament. A world without rules is a world of chaos and we want to build the Critical Ops world on an orderly platform. The rules provided will serve as a guide for current and future Critical Ops Tournaments. Let’s start, shall we?

General Rules

  1. By participating in our tournaments, all participants automatically agree that they vow to respect fellow participants and MOBILE E-SPORTS Staff.
  2. Do not join an official tournament lobby if you are not part of the team that is playing. Ineligible players that do join are at risk of being banned from the tournament and from the game.
  3. The usage of ‘jailbroken’ or ‘rooted’ devices in tournament matches is not permitted.
  4. If there is hard evidence against a player cheating in Critical Ops then he will be banned from participating in future tournaments unless otherwise stated.
  5. Any private discussion or complaint you have with tournament officials are to remain confidential unless otherwise stated by the MOBILE E-SPORTS Staff. If you believe you had a bad experience and do have a complaint to file then you can do so within 48 hours after your match has ended. It is imperative to include a detailed report along with hard evidence of what your team, clan, or organisation is filing a protest for.
  6. It is strictly prohibited to gamble or bet during an ongoing tournament. This rule applies to players or a team management that has any relations to a participating party. Such actions can give unfair advantage to close associates of teams that are playing.
  7. We reserve the right to edit the rules at any time and disqualify teams for reasons not stated in this list or take other action.
  8. All participants agree that their matches may be streamed on Mobcrush and/or uploaded to YouTube. All participants have to join the official MOBILE E-SPORTS chat room on Discord App. Teams that have no representative in the chat after the tournament has started may be disqualified.
  9. The language for communication between team captains and between MOBILE E-SPORTS staff members and participants is English.
  10. It is prohibited to spam or use offensive messages on any of MOBILE E-SPORTS’ platforms and doing so may result in us taking punitive measures against you.
  11. By participating in a MOBILE E-SPORTS tournament, you agree that we can trace your account’s IP if you are accused of sharing accounts or any other accusations of similar nature. If you are not going to be playing in your usual domain, tournament officials must be notified before a tournament match begins along with the domain’s IP address from which you will be playing the tournament match. Note, this rule applies only if you are suspected of cheating.
  12. Every player is required to take a screenshot while holding the P250 pistol after sending a text message in the in-game chat. In the screenshot an opponent must be standing behind the pistol. Click here to see an image demonstration and click here to see a video demonstration. A second screenshot has to be taken at the spawn position immediately after a round has begun. Players may be required to take additional screenshots during the match. All screenshots have to be uploaded on our Discord Server in the screenshot channel in original quality within 5 minutes after the match has ended. Screenshots that are altered in any form, (such as lowered resolution) are not legitimate. You must ensure that notifications are not blocking your screenshots in any shape or form. Players that have recorded their screen are not required to take screenshots.
  13. If requested by the administration, players are required to record their screen during the match. The video must be shared with us within two days. Furthermore, all players are required to record their screen in tournament matches after reaching quarter-finals, or otherwise stated phase. Players that are unable to record their screen are ineligible to play. The video must be shared with us within two days in at least 360p quality and 30 fps framerate.
  14. During an on-going tournament, players are not allowed to change their in-game name. Clan Tags before in-game names are allowed to be changed.
  15. If we discover that a certain player has hacked or cheated in one of our tournaments then he will be banned for a period of 6 months from MOBILE E-SPORTS and other events hosted by other fellow organisations.
  16. Team members that are aware of a fellow hacker or cheater’s actions yet failed to come forth in reporting him will be banned for a period of 2 months.
  17. Ignorance of rules does not justify rule breaking. If you have questions about any rules, contact our support.

Registration

  1. Only applications that are filled completely and valid are legitimate. You may send more than one application to update your list of players, team captain, or team name. Your email cannot be edited. Sending more than one application will not increase your chances to be selected for the tournament.
  2. Your team list must contain the amount of players according to the tournament settings. Additionally, you may include substitute players in your team list, however you cannot have more than seven players in your team list (including substitutes) unless stated otherwise.
  3. Only one team of the same organisation may participate in the same tournament.
  4. You may not use players that are banned from MOBILE E-SPORTS tournaments or are already signed up in another team for the same tournament. It is the team captains’ responsibility to make sure that their players are only registered in one team, or have left their old team.
  5. The list of players cannot be changed after the start of the tournament unless you have reported your issue to our staff and we found justifiable reasons to make an exception.
  6. We do not accept requests of player changes on other platforms such as Twitter. Please send a new application before the tournament starts. In order to request a roster change, please send your entire new line up via email to [email protected].
  7. The list of players must contain the Critical Ops usernames of all players.
  8. Players that are participating in two different teams in the same tournament may be banned from future tournaments and their teams may be disqualified. Players can only be a part of one team per tournament.
  9. Only the team captain is allowed to set up matches, choose players, apply for the tournament, and forfeit matches. Players that set up matches without the approval of their team captain may be suspended.
  10. Impersonating other teams or players is not allowed.
  11. Offensive team names or player names may result in an invalid application.

Off-stream Matches

  1. Matches that are not streamed on the official MOBILE E-SPORTS Channel are regarded as off-stream matches.
  2. Depending on the tournament settings, teams that are matched up against each other have to set up a match within a given time limit. Both team captains have to report the date and time of their match to the MOBILE E-SPORTS Team.
  3. Team captains that agree on a specific date must make sure that their team shows up on the agreed-upon time. If a team does not join the in-game lobby within 15 minutes after the agreed-upon time, they will be at risk of disqualification. Teams that do not respond on MOBILE E-SPORTS’ Discord chat room and to e-mails within 24 hours, may be disqualified.
  4. All matches must be supervised by an official moderator from the MOBILE E-SPORTS Team, or streamed by an official streamer associated with MOBILE E-SPORTS. The supervising moderator may not be associated with any teams that are playing.
  5. If the two teams did not play their match in the given time limit, one or both teams may be disqualified.

Match Rules

  1. We do not tolerate the use of cheats, hacks, or any other third-party application that gives a team an unfair advantage.
  2. Teams that attempt to use players which are not in their approved roster may be disqualified.
  3. All players must remain in the game’s lobby following the conclusion of each match. This allows us to view their final score on the scoreboard. Players that leave the lobby earlier and thus do not show up on the scoreboard may be suspended from on-going tournaments.
  4. Once the match has started, only the players that are in the lobby at the time are eligible to play. It is not allowed to substitute players during an on-going match.
  5. A match is counted as forfeit if none of the players of a team are in the lobby when the match starts, if all players of a team leave the match, and if the captain of a team forfeits the match.
  6. If you leave or disconnect for any reason, you can join back but you must not join as a spectator. If a player from Team A joins the spectator mode during a round,  Team A may be required to let Team B win the spectated round.
  7. Only the original owner of a Critical Ops Account is allowed to use it. Account sharing may be met with disqualification.
  8. In streamed matches, both teams may be required to use Discord or Skype to communicate and invite a moderator to the call.
  9. You must not abuse in-game glitches that give you an unfair advantage.
  10. If your match is assigned to be played during a live stream, then your team must be available at the stated time.

King of the Arena Rules

  1. Teams that do not show up to scheduled matches receive a penalty of -25 points. The other team receives points based on a win with a score of 13-0 with the amount of players agreed on.
  2. Teams caught losing on purpose without forfeiting may be disqualified and their opponent may not receive points.
  3. If your team is able to play, then post in the #King_of_the_arena text channel on our Discord Server. Once another team responds and agrees to play you, then you have to play them within 24 hours. A challenge made this way cannot be declined.
  4. All captains of the participating teams need to request the KoA Captain role in the #teamrolerequest text channel on our Discord server.
  5. Teams that did not play any match within seven days may receive penalty points.
  6. Matches may be scheduled to be 3vs3, 4vs4, or 5vs5. The amount of players cannot be changed anymore once the match has been scheduled. If a team does not have enough players, then they must play with their remaining players at a disadvantage.
  7. Top 5 teams may be challenged by other teams at any time. Once the top 5 teams have been challenged, they must play the match within 48 hours. The only exception to this rule is if a team already has two or more open challenges.
  8. Teams may get assigned to play on our live-stream by the MOBILE E-SPORTS staff. Selected teams will be matched up randomly against each other. Streamed matches are worth more points than off-stream played matches.
  9. The team with the highest amount of points (24 hours prior to the beginning of the stream) is automatically assigned to play on stream.
  10. If teams are not able to agree on a server then both teams can play two matches, each on their own server.
  11. If no moderator is present, teams can choose to play and if they wish, to record the match, in the case they have a complaint about the other team.
  12. For any controversy, please refer to Rule 4 under General Rules.
  13. It is strictly prohibited to trade points in any kind of form.
  14. We do not tolerate offensive behaviour towards other participants or MOBILE E-SPORTS Staff. Teams that engage in toxic behaviour may receive penalty points.
