Critical Ops: King of the Arena – Registration Now Open

Today we are announcing a new type of tournament called King of the Arena! What’s different about this tournament you might ask? Let’s start with a surprising fact about it, it requires no Bracket! Strange isn’t it? On the other hand, it is a very competitive and interesting experience for the Critical Ops teams. Here are the details.

King of the Arena Settings
  • Starting April 6th
  • 3vs3, 4vs4, 5vs5
  • 50 Teams Accepted
  • Any Map Allowed
  • Points System
  • $500 Prize & Cases To #1 Team

All signed up teams receive 1000 starter points. Teams can challenge one another and agree on a date and time to play a match. The winning team will gain Points while the team that lost will lose Points. The amount of Points the teams win or lose are calculated through a formula that contains several factors. Some examples that affect the amount of points gained or lost are differences in a match score, differences in the team’s rank, and number of participants that played.

Matches are going to be 3vs3, 4vs4 or 5vs5, depending on the agreement of both teams. The more participants means that more Points can be gained following a victory. The map can also be chosen by the teams. If both teams are unable to agree on the amount of players or the map, it will be decided through a ban system, in which one team starts to ban a map and amount of players, then the other team bans one of the remaining options, until one option for each is left. Keep in mind that all weapons are allowed.

The requirements to sign up for this tournament is having at least five players. Additionally, each team can have up to 10 substitute players. The Sign Up Process is easy and all you need to do is to fill a form. We will select a maximum amount of 50 teams for this tournament. The duration of the first season is one month, at the end of each season the team with the highest amount of Points will win the season and receive prizes that are in-game rewards and monetary.

Additional to the manual search mode, you can also request to be put into the match queue. Each Friday, teams in the match queue are randomly set against each other and are set to play on our Saturday Streams. The amount of teams that can enter the random match maker is limited based on the stream length. The list of participants are updated once per week on sunday. We will display the teams and their points on our website and will keep the points updated as often as possible.
