Critical Ops: The G FUEL Tournament – The Finals Roadmap

Now that Round 1 & the Semi-finals of the Critical Ops G FUEL Tournament have concluded, two talented teams are destined to face each other in the Finals. The Finals will be based on Best of 5 format and we will have it live-streamed on January 13th at 10 AM Pacific Time. With the last two teams being GankStars and Nova Esports, it is impossible to predict how this tournament will end. There is only one way to find out which team is the best of them all and that’s what this tournament has been designed to achieve.

The G Fuel Tournament Settings

  • Streamed on January 13th at 10 AM Pacific Time
  • Live-Streamed On Twitch & YouTube
  • 2 Teams: 5 vs 5
  • Best of 5 Format
  • Any Map Allowed
  • Defuse The Bomb
  • The Finals

The matches will be based on Best of 5 Format. We have introduced a new system to ensure that the Finals will be as fair as possible. The matches will take place as follows:

  • Match 1: Nova Chooses Server – GankStars Selects Map & Starting Side (CT/T).
  • Match 2: GankStars Chooses Server – Nova Selects Map & Starting Side (CT/T).
  • Match 3: The team that leads in terms of W/L Ratio will be the one that selects the Server for Match 3 and the opposing team will get to choose the Map & Starting Side (CT/T).
  • Match 4: The Team that chose Server in Match 3 selects Map & Starting Side (CT/T) in Match 4. The Team that chose Map and Starting Side (CT/T) in Match 3 will choose Server in Match 4.
  • Match 5: The team that leads in terms of W/L Ratio throughout the last 4 matches will be the one that selects the Server for Match 5 and the opposing team will get to choose the Map & Starting Side (CT/T).

In terms of how W/L Ratio will be calculated, we look at rounds won in comparison to rounds lost. To give you an example, if Team A wins by a score of 13-2 on their server in Match 1 and Team B wins with a score of 13-9 on their server in Match 2, we allow Team A to select the server since they performed better. The other team will get the advantage of choosing the map and starting side in order to not place any team in a disadvantage.

As you can see in the bracket below, Nova Esports beat CsPG Immortals and D2R Insidious, while GankStars beat SetToDestroyX and Learn From Past. Who will become the champion of the Critical Ops G FUEL Tournament? Join us on January 13th at 10 AM Pacific Time to see these anticipated matches live.
